IBEX Ski School will be providing free lessons, video analysis, and possibly some editorial comments afterwards in the bar!

Since not everyone is going on a vacation trip we want to give everyone the opportunity to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills. Additionally we will be offering Videotaping (yes we are old school and still use magnetic tape) for those who want to reaffirm why they don’t think they need lessons or can learn anything at Wilmot (you know who you are). For those of you who have been in the club past years, you may recall previous Learn to Ski and Board events at Wilmot. This year we will be offering the same event on Sunday January 6th. We will be offering both skiing and snowboarding lessons.

Cost:

Lift/lesson $30
Lift/ski rental*/lesson $40
Lift/snowboard rental**/lesson $50

NOTE: Above ”Lesson” is a Wilmot Ski School Lesson (must be age 7 or above) in addition to the IBEX provided lessons.

Payment is due at the time of sign-up.

Lift tickets are good from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

ASSUMES WE GET ENOUGH (15) PEOPLE TO QUALIFY FOR A GROUP TICKET SO ENCOURAGE FRIENDS, COWORKERS, AND RELATIVES TO ATTEND.

We need 15 people in order to get the discounted price.

In the event that we do not get enough people you will be notified and your deposit refunded. You can purchase a regular priced ticket at Wilmot for $40 ($27 under 12) which does not include the Wilmot lesson, with rentals being $25 ($22 for under 12) for skis, and $36 for boards.

Members and friends are welcome to come out and ski and ride with us. You do not have to sign up for a lesson to take advantage of the discounted tickets.

Children must at least 8 years of age and must be a relative of a member in order to take lessons. Waivers for minors will be available at the meetings in December.

Waivers must be signed by a parent and the relative accompanying the child on the trip.

Beginner Lessons will begin at 9:30 a.m. Meet by the Ski School Bell in front of the main lodge. Other lessons will be scheduled based on signups and skier levels.

Plan to meet by 8:30 a.m. to pick up your rental coupons and lift tickets. If you are only picking up lift tickets, 9:00 a.m. should be fine. This should give you enough time to get ready. Look for us at a table near the Ski School Desk in the Main Lodge.

Renting equipment:

If you are renting equipment plan to arrive by 8:30 a.m.
Rentals include skis, boots and poles or snowboards and boots.
Security deposits will be required: Each person renting ski equipment is required to leave a $10.00 cash deposit and I.D.
Snowboard and Boot deposit is $100.00 cash, VISA, MC, AE, DIS.
Drivers license or photo I.D. also required for snowboard equipment rental.

·Wilmot Ski Rental Packages include LOOK bindings, easy entry boots, and poles.

After Lessons:

We will meet in the BAR, located in the middle of the main lodge, where we will order pizzas and snacks for dinner. (Brown bagging is acceptable!) They also have TVs in this room in case there any other sports events taking place!
